Your role

Does building cloud first infrastructure fascinate you? Are you an expert in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)? We’re looking for someone who can :

• Partner with Solution Architects to define IaC architecture patterns
• Enable sustainable, performant and cost-effective solutions, in-line with UBS standards and policies
• Collaborate with application teams to deliver cost effective and dynamic infrastructure solutions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions across competing requirements
• Deliver an infrastucure governance model that enables organizational-wide transformation programs
• Mitigate infrastructure refresh activities by leveraging modular and dynamic infrastructure
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and cost saving opportunities
• Continuously drive infrastructure right-sizing activities

Your team

We’re looking for Infrastructure Leads to join our growing CTO community. You’ll be working in the Group Functions Chief Digital Office, supporting the organization’s application modernization and cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with significant IaC experience. You’ll be working in close collaboration with other Infrastructure Leads across the organization and application owners. Together, we’ll bring UBS to the future by developing world-class, efficient, and sustainable business solutions

Your expertise

• Hands-on experience with applications using microservices, containers, and orchestration tools
• Experience building and deploying infrastructure using technology like ansible, chef, puppet and terraform
• Experience with the hardware, virtualization, storage and network solution design
• Experience with public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Experience in IaC architectural patterns
• Microsoft Azure knowledge is desirable, cloud experience is required
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
