With immediate effect, we are looking for an experienced Compensation Consultant to support our Global Human Resources/ Total Rewards team. The role can be based in any EMEA location State Street has a presence and reports into the Global Head of Regulatory Compensation – Job ID R-664287

The Total Rewards team is focused on the design, implementation and management of employee compensation plans, with the goal of creating incentives to drive employee engagement and appropriate behaviors. The team also advises on the regulatory and governance-related compensation requirements, to ensure compliance with local, regional and global regulatory frameworks. In addition to day-to-day management of key deliverables, such as supporting compensation decisions and the annual compensation review cycle, the team supports a varied portfolio of projects, partnering as a virtual team with colleagues across the globe.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support on all aspects of EU and regional remuneration regulation
  • Review and provide support on the impact of evolving regulatory requirements (e.g. EBA's guidelines on remuneration under CRD V, IFD)
  • Interpret, analyze, develop, implement, execute, and document all regulatory remuneration requirements for several legal entities
  • Support regional compensation workflows and day-to-day management of key Global Total Rewards deliverables including the annual compensation review
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for compensation support for a number of countries
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement
  • Provide compensation support to several Remuneration Committees including production of ad-hoc analytics and preparation/ review/ presentation of materials
  • Focus on Risk Excellence and support the proactive and effective management of remuneration risk by the first line of defense
  • Lead or support ad-hoc projects and provide support to the wider Compensation team, as required
  • Focus on client service delivery and relationship management


Education, Experience and Skills

  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or comparable education
  • Track record in reward within a fast-paced, international, financial services or consultancy organization ideally
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Proactive and highly motivated team-player with strong analytical skills
  • Commercial thinker and strong multi-tasker
  • Knowledge of EU banking and asset management remuneration regulation
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive and highly motivated team-player with strong analytical skills
