This role is an expeditor role supporting major maintenance project (turnaround) at one of Shell’s key assets in Qatar. You will coordinate delivery of thousands of materials essential for the success of the event, learning a lot about logistics, import/exports and warehousing. This role is an ideal opportunity for a strong performer to step into/further develop in the world of procurement and logistics, testing him/herself in a demanding environment of turnarounds for the key asset in Shell’s portfolio. You would be part of a 30+ people team working for the Qatar asset from Krakow and one of the 400+ procurement professionals in Shell’s hub in Krakow.
Purpose
This role provides the successful candidate an opportunity to test him/herself in the demanding environment of turnaround – huge maintenance project of the plant – and contribute to its success. In this role, you will gain a solid foundation of materials needed to operate a plant of such size. You will coordinate all import activities and add commercial thinking into optimizing ways of transport. Moreover, you will also be exposed to the activities of Technical Buyers and Warehouse, as well as regularly collaborate with Shell’s freight forwarders. You will report on the progress directly to your business partners, building business partnering skills and your understanding of the global industrial materials market.

Accountabilities:

Manage a sizeable portfolio of material orders deliveries in accordance with asset guidelines and principles

Stakeholders will be in various businesses and geographic locations.

Collaboration with Business Stakeholders, procurement colleagues at the plant and own team members.

Opportunity to make an impact on a bottom-line savings (deliver savings), in particular within logistics area.

Engage with Requisitioners and Requisition to Pay Team on new orders submitted.

Engage with Shell’s freight-forwarding company.

Support Procurement team with logistics contract management and own improvements proposals within that space.

Generate and deliver improvement in the logistics process, specifically around planning, mode of transport, tools and visualization of progress used etc
Skills & Requirements:

Very strong communication skills, fluent English

Ability to juggle priorities and understand which deliveries are critical : “making it happen”

Supply Chain/logistics experience
-
Proven experience in expediting area.

Experience working with large data sets and continuous communication internally and externallty

Knowledge of SAP and RtP process are preferred,

Well organized and able to manage competing priorities

Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and in teams

Strong and Proven Interpersonal, Communication, Influencing & Stakeholder Management Skills.

Digital literacy as a plus
Special Challenges:

Openness to travel to Qatar in 2024 for the Turnaround event (approx. 3 months) is an asset (for a premium salary)

Time difference between Krakow and Qatar is 1-2 hours (earlier) – preferred early start of the day

Work Hours & Holidays – The daily routine will follow as per asset / project working hours and holidays. Optional to work on Sundays (Fridays off) in return for +30%.
