The Trading & Supply Products and Operations organization manages and optimizes hydrocarbon delivery within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It balances the Supply and Demand of all the Hydrocarbons in the Shell system to optimally meet Shell’s marketing demand and create value from Shell’s refining assets. This position is part of the Operations Support Team in Trading & Supply Products and Operations organization. The responsibilities of the team include the End-to-End processes for Load Indicators and Nominations across all modes of Transport (Barge, Rail, Pipe, Truck) for the German-speaking countries. The advisor along with other team members will work closely with Shell and non-Shell stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective working processes. The scope of the team changes as business needs change.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform accounting activities.

  • Maintains movement nominations, Load IDs in GSAP and associated third- party systems.

  • Investigates and clears all nomination errors reported in GSAP and other internal systems.

  • Participates in assigned Continuous Improvement projects, builds knowledge and experience of methodology and tools.

  • Supports ad-hoc projects assigned by Team Leader.

  • Maintains “first time right” mentality and behaviors.

Requirements:

  • University degree and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Proficiency in German language (B2/C1).

  • Evidenced ability to understand end to end processes and the impacts of those processes on the book of record. Handle a high volume of transactions in an efficient and accurate manner.

  • Evidenced ability to cover multiple roles and take on additional projects.

  • Must be able to deal with competing priorities and be able to maximize value in a fast-paced environment.

  • Evidence of an orientation towards learning and application of that learning to problem-solving.

  • Working knowledge Continuous Improvement tools will be highly considered.

  • Knowledge of GSAP is preferable.

  • Proficiency in Excel will be highly considered.
