Principal Accountabilities:

  • Create and optimize an accurate, cost effective and timely delivery plan based on available stock data to ensure that the right product and volume is delivered from the right source to the right destination at the right time by the right truck
  • Ensure scheduled deliveries are in line with safety and compliance, according to operational procedures and customer lead times
  • Work with analysts (where relevant) and other schedulers to balance order demand against truck supply
  • Ensure supply and product availability issues are reflected in the planning tool
  • Liaise with other teams that contribute to the Order-to-Delivery process, including credit checking staff, Customer Service and Delivery Assurance Team
  • Contribute to the supply chain KPIs (key performance indicators), i.e. minimisation of stock-outs, product not fitting a tank on site (left-on-board) and excessive multi-dropping.
  • Daily contact with hauliers and supply

Key / Special Challenges:

  • Continuously improve scheduling effectiveness, minimising stock-outs and other rework costs, using benchmarks and key performance indicator monitoring
  • Close teamwork within the scope and in particular with Delivery Assurance Team
  • Balance stress, conflicting priorities and time pressure against the need to produce an effective and viable schedule
  • English and German on communicative level is a must
