Your role

Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies? Are you good at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity? UBS Global Markets Tech team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Equity Derivatives Pricing Team.

We are looking for software engineers to:

•contribute and guide the evolution of our existing Pricing Platform and its future greenfield successor
•drive design and development of new scalable, robust and performant stream processing systems and components
•apply best development practices and master and utilize state-of-the-art technologies within our products
•thrive in a complex financial business domain delivering critical functions for the Investment Bank

Your team

You’ll be working in a global team that develops and maintains a set of high throughputs, low latency solutions performing pricing of Equity Derivative products, a group of applications which allows UBS traders, all over the world, to trade equity derivatives. As an engineer, you'll play an important role in delivering business value to our users.
Members of this team work closely with traders, trade support, quants and business expert. Systems are going through exciting business and technical evolutions.

Your expertise

•experience with designing and delivering distributed stream processing cloud native solutions with scalable microservice architectures
•hands-on passionate Java-oriented developer not afraid in getting out of the comfort zone
•experience with streaming technologies and excellent understanding of performance monitoring, profiling, and optimizing as well as high availability aspects
•self-motivated with critical thinking abilities - a quick learner that can thrive in a fast-paced environment
•prior experience with Docker, K8s, Spring, Kafka, microservices and REST, with a knowledge or a will to learn some of the following technologies: Python, Kotlin, Typescript, React, AKS and/or Azure related technologies
•practice in managing teams/projects in an agile way with strong interpersonal skills and experience in working across both business and IT structure levels
