We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Business Risk Manager to join our team to:
• ensure operational risk is understood and effectively managed by providing guidance and monitoring adherence to the UBS group-wide Operational Risk Framework
• maintain oversight of the GCRG COO risk portfolio including risk identification, and monitoring progress of risk remediation activities
• educate and challenge function on risk topics to help drive the business forward
• design and implement processes to support risk management in the function
• provide key stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting of all operational risk related items

Your team
You’ll be working in the GCRG COO Management team in Poland, responsible for overseeing risk management of the function globally. You’ll be working alongside a range of stakeholders across the globe. As a Risk Manager, you’ll play an important role in ensuring GCRG COO operates within its risk appetite and is compliant with the company wide Operational Risk Framework. You will be located in Kracow.

Your expertise
• university degree (preferably in Finance / Accounting / Economics) or relevant professional qualification
• demonstrated track record in risk control, risk management or compliance within a financial institution (ideally 5+ years of experience)
• good understanding of risk management concepts and their implementation in practice
• proactive, self-driven and flexible personality with ability to complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines, with little supervision
• effectively collaborate and communicate with team members and across different functions, building credibility & trust
• 'control-minded' with the ability to identify control gaps to lead and support the development of robust solutions
• strong communicator with effective written and verbal communication skills
• fluent in English to support our global function
• advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint)
