Your role

We’re looking for a DRM Chapter Lead, reporting directly to the Crew Technical Lead (Executive Director level) to:
•act as people and development manager to DRM
•be a mentor supporting growth and career progression and ensure high standards of engineering is applied across the delivery crew
•support and enable the chapter with new / emerging practices, learning opportunities and capability building
•connect chapters to the wider UBS community of guilds, engage as thought and action leader beyond the borders of the crew
•work with Crew Leads and Agile coaches to understand and resolve challenges, opportunities and areas of collaboration
•support the broader strategy and goals of their organization to ensure chapter members are equipped to understand in their context
•communicate best practices through regular one-on-one meetings with chapter members, retrospectives, chapter sync meetings, sync with other chapter leads and everyone who needs the help of competent opinion from your field
•support recruitment, development and retention of technical resources including career pathway development for all technical squad members

Your team

You’ll work in the Client Lifecycle Management area supporting solutions for UBS Client Onboarding, Global Client Documentations and Regulatory Reporting businesses to provide next-generation technologies to streamline application interactions and reduce manual efforts across the operating environment front-to-back

Your expertise

•strong leader who can garner respect from individuals, putting their needs first, and with a strong attitude of transparency
•experience with Line management through both coaching and mentoring technique
•experience in scrum development practices, using associated tools for testing and continuous integration / deployment
•proven commercial experience as an IT architect, with a track record for delivery of high performing IT solutions
•experience of building cloud native applications/services, with knowledge of event streaming and messaging systems (Kafka highly desirable)
•underlying technologies used in DRM today include:
oJAVA 8
oHTML5
oAngular 7 (user interface)
oSpring
oDropwizard
