Your role
Are you a shrewd evaluator of risk? Do you know how make the right call in challenging situations? We’re looking for someone like that who can:
• ensure and assess appropriate due diligence processes before delegating Portfolio Management (PM) function under the responsibility of the management company to external parties as well as counterparts within the UBS network
• monitor and assess key controls applied to the delegated party (on EMIR, AML/KYC etc.) in an ongoing due diligence process, by identifying and investigating exceptions or new risks occurring within the delegated function
• coordinate and analyze monitoring tools such as quarterly KPIs and annual confirmations
• prepare monthly and quarterly consolidations of findings and reporting to the team leader and conducting officer via monthly reports and presentations
• monitor for potential changes in regulations in order to anticipate impact on the current control framework and implementing the necessary changes within the timeframes prescribed by regulators
You will be allocated responsibilities in overseeing our providers of Portfolio Management services for our UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds and the co-ordination of standard processes within Fund Management Services ("FMS") within the UBS Management Company Structure.

You will be working in the newly created Business Support team of UBS Fund Management (Luxembourg) S.A. (UBS FML), in UBS’s Business Solution Center in Krakow, Poland.

We are a small team, supporting each other. You will report directly to the team head and work closely with your colleagues and other teams within UBS and different external stakeholders.
Your expertise
• at least 2 years of experience working in an investment firm (asset management environment) and have well established knowledge of oversight obligations
• proven experience of working on UCITS/Alternative Investment Funds, preferably in a funds oversight capacity
• efficient excel skills while experience of PM tools and macro programming (VBA) would be an advantage;
• strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (think outside the box)
• a passion for efficient and professional delivery of pragmatic and practicable solutions
• reliable when working independently, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues
• quickly adaptable to changing market situations, technology and business needs (you’re smart and flexible)
• comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• a strong communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues and counterparts at all levels
• have a positive “can do” attitude
fluent in English; French, German, Italian would be an advantage
