The opportunity

The selected candidate will:

Deliver solution or infrastructure development services for a small to medium sized project, using strong technical capabilities. Designs, develops and maintains solutions or infrastructure, ensuring team compliance with the relevant standards. Works with users to capture requirements and peer reviews design specifications. Your key responsibilities

• Due to our global organization and global operating model, there may be cross border reporting lines (no direct team lead within the country).
• This position may have direct reports in different locations.
• Engineer and automate platform solutions to meet and exceed expectations of Product Manager
• Proactively evolve and apply DevSecOps methodologies, standards and leading practices
• Ensure re-use through consumption and expansion of shared platform technology assets
• Apply modern development standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, security standards, usability design standards, as appropriate.
• Ensure quality through use of manual and automated controls
• Provide training and support for platform/product operations
• Using critical thinking, consider the art of the possible, compare various options based on feasibility and impact, propose measurable plans and roadmaps that balance tactical and strategic needs

Skills and attributes for success

• Good technical competency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions
• Good knowledge of PowerShell Scripting, Ansible, ADO, Active Directory, Networking, Cloud Administration (Azure or GCP)
• Understanding of Power BI and PowerApps

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
• Experience of IT service business and engineering of multi-year managed services
• Cloud (3-5 years) - Experience in engineering technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure or GCP, or other cloud providers IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities. Nice to have Experience with any of the following: O365, Azure, Azure AD.
• Scripting (3-5 years) – having knowledge and experience with Microsoft PowerShell (required) and Linux shell scripting (preferred).
• Configuration Management (2-3 years) – being able to develop recipes for new solutions to deploy consistent systems, enforce configurations and settings through configuration management systems like PowerShell DSC, Ansible or Puppet.
• Web Services, API, REST (1-2 years) – Understanding and having experience with leveraging web services (SOAP), different API endpoints including the usage of REST based APIs to be able to be able to build loosely coupled architectures and solutions that are quick to implement and are easy to monitor.
• Networking (1-3 years) - Have good understanding of networking capabilities, including load balancers, web application firewalls, network access control lists (NACLs), security groups, routing, tracing, DNS.
• Documentation (2-3 years) - Being able to create technical documents that provide insight into the design and implementation of a solution.
• Operational Support awareness (2-3 years) – A good understanding of what it takes to support the deployed applications and solutions is key to providing great service to the end users.
• Source code management (2-3 years) – Familiarity with source control tools such as Git, Team Foundation Server (TFVC), and SVN.
• Demonstrate ability to learn new and emerging technologies which define engineering standards and produce automation code
