Test Automation Lead

As a member of our Global Tax Test Automation team you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains test automation solutions across projects. The Tax Automation team participates as members of the Agile Product Delivery teams to develop technology in support of our Business and Clients. 

The Supervising Associate Automation Engineer role will assist in leading Automation teams on multiple projects, develop automated tests, and help build automation processes and frameworks to support Tax Projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Review Manual Tests for automation feasibility 
• Hands on development of automated tests to support the Global Tax Projects
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members and/or colleagues 
• Assist and troubleshoot issues that may arise in the existing Test Automation Framework.
• Make recommendations to assist in the improvement of processes and practices
• Assist in debugging test results from automation runs to ensure bugs are raised from failed tests 
• Identify and report issues and risks associated with own work
• Create, deliver, and interpret reports on metrics to project leads
   

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Ability to quickly understand the application under test and the existing test automation framework 
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting options for solutions, and when agreed upon by team, lead the implementation of the resolution proposed. 
• Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
• Ability to work independently and interact/communicate with stakeholders to complete tasks
• Ability to understand and integrate with cultural differences and engage with virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams
   

Skills and attributes for success

• 3+ years applied experience in the following
  • Working in a Page Object Model Design framework 
  • Selenium/C# using Visual Studio (Java OK if willing to convert to C#)
  • Working in an Agile environment with understanding of Azure Dev Ops (VSTS)
  • Developing API Tests using MSTest or NUnit, including using Postman and/or Swagger
• Strong programming and technical experience, as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers
• Experience working with BrowserStack
• Experience with testing a microservice applications
• Experience building and maintaining Test Automation frameworks

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Knowledge of tools and processes for results reporting
• Knowledge of Tax Industry
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Best Practices
• Experience with MAQS Automation Framework
• Experience working with keyword automation architectures
• Experience working with PowerBI

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A bachelor’s degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or Equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of relevant QA experience (manual and automation)
