In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better

You will be Philips expert in specific process/domain on transportation management:

  • You develop, implement and drive continuous improvements of the standardized business capabilities for your expertise area, deploy to newly acquired companies.
  • You are the process custodian and ensures adoption of proven practices. You capture learnings and actively share success within your network.

You are responsible for

  • Providing expertise in process analysis within transport management to perform process gap analyses, propose best practices as input for the process design.
  • Designing the Philips Excellence Process Framework (P.E.P.F.) with the above mentioned requirement features and ensure alignment with the underpinning IT applications incl. relevant process performance metrics & KPI’s and compliance requirements and controls.
  • Supporting SAP, TMS & Transport process implementation programs (Philips Integrated Landscape, PIL) and projects and ensure processes are implemented as designed.
  • Collaborating with IT and EIM to ensure that IT applications and data models support the business process requirements and design.
  • Being a change agent by clarifying the impact of the new ways of working including the process, IT applications to the deployment teams and are the content owners of the deployment materials (guidelines, work instructions and learnings), as developed with Philips University or other parties who develop the process role-based learning curriculum for the end-users for their process domain
  • Building and maintaining SME communities in your domain and ensure the people, competencies, capabilities are in place to execute the standard solutions in their process domains and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establishing an accurate process performance impact tracking & reporting, with reference to internal/external benchmarks and relevant targets. As part of the continuous improvement, phase and actively share knowledge and help problem solve with systemic issues driving impact.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelors Degree: Master’s degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience with transport operation management, ideally both international (overseas) transport with different modalities and intra-continental transport management.
  • Knowledge of document flows supporting transport operations and affinity with systems (knowing SAP and TMS is an advantage)
  • Having experience in advanced technologies applied to transport (e.g. IoT, blockchain) and knowledge/experience of customs processes are considered additional assets for the application.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Conceptual thinking and analytics skills.
  • Pro-active, hands-on, eager to learn, asks questions
  • Ability to run business analysis enabling to understand a process, issue and drive the right choices
  • Experience in leading process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Hoshin or 6-sigma)
  • Fluency in English
