Senior DEVOPs platform engineering architect for Global Technology Service / Digital team

Why this role is important to us

State Street is building its service capability for digital assets. As part of that effort, we need a resilient, compliant and efficient DEVOPs engineering platform which integrates with corporate DEVOPs platform to facilitate efficient engineering activities in blockchain technology. We expect this role to create an automated delivery pipeline that assists in building digital software more efficiently. This role also needs to manage engineering disciplines along software delivery to ensure an efficient, transparent, DEVOPs oriented monitoring and assurance system is implemented.

What you will be responsible for

As DEVOPS engineering architect, you will need to

• Facilitate the development and operations
• Establish, maintain and evolve continuous build infrastructure to speed up software development
• Establish, maintain and evolve continuous delivery and APM infrastructure to ensure proper monitoring, alerting, recovery mechanism is implemented and operated
• Manage multi-region cloud infrastructure for overall service reliability, scalability, and cost
• Build and improve tools and automation to efficiently utilize infrastructure
• Respond to incidents and support the engineering team with its product incident response strategy
• Lead postmortems and root cause analysis to help us continuously improve

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MA in computer science or relevant fields
• Good language skills in English
• 5+ years work experience as a DevOps/Technical Operations Engineer
• Cloud and docker orchestration experience (AWS, Azure etc.) is a must;
• Strong knowledge of DEVOPs tooling across CI/ CD/ Chaos Engineering/ Docker and orchestration/ Ansible/ Splunk/ etc.;
• Experience with emerging blockchain technologies, web3 etc. is a strong preference
• Experience with TCP/IP and Firewall is a strong preference
• A team player with excellent communication skills
