We’re looking for a Business Risk Manager (BRM) to partner within Shared Services and Reference Data Operations to:
• ensure operational risk is understood and effectively managed
• govern risk portfolios including risk identification, review operational risk events and monitor progress in risk remediation activities
• provide key stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting of all operational risk related items and events
• ensure senior stakeholders know the up-to-date risk status for their organization
• provide guidance and monitor compliance with the UBS group-wide Operational Risk Framework
• facilitate the documentation and on-going maintenance of key procedural controls
• collaborate with business stakeholders within the risk space in Shared Services and Chief Digital and Information Office

Your team

You will join a team of global risk experts in performing a functional risk face-off role for Shared Services and Reference Data Operations. Shared Services and Reference Data Operations are at the core of the bank and are truly horizontal functions providing firm wide solutions. As a Business Risk Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the business operates within it’s risk appetite and is compliant with the firm wide operational risk framework.

Your expertise

• 5 years or more of operational risk experience in banking, ideally within operations
• strong understanding of risk management concepts and their implementation in practice. You understand how to design and oversee control frameworks, perform risk assessments and validate risk and remediation approaches
• university degree (preferably in Risk or Finance) or relevant professional experience
• proactive, self-driven and flexible personality with ability to complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines, with little supervision
• effectively collaborate and communicate with team members and across different functions, building credibility & trust
• 'control-minded' with the ability to identify control gaps to lead and support the development of robust solutions
• strong communication and presentation skills
• fluency in English
