Who we are looking for

As an ESG Analyst in State Street Global Advisors’ ESG organization you will advance the implementation of State Street’s ESG infrastructure, which supports the firm’s goals of maximizing our positioning in the market and providing excellent service to our clients.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As an ESG Analyst you will report into to the Head of ESG Operations and Administration and will be responsible for the following:

  • Work as part of the ESG Operations team to strengthen our ESG infrastructure, including collaborating across functions and teams

  • Help implement ESG policies, procedures, and business controls, and coordinate annual reviews

  • Monitor the firm’s external ESG commitments (such as through industry groups), and keep senior leaders aware of requirements, including reporting deliverables and deadlines

  • Provide project management to help meet regulatory requirements and industry commitments, including the development of key ESG reports

  • Help identify, track, and report ESG assets under management (AUM)

  • Support ESG vendor management processes from procurement through invoice payment

  • Support ESG-related committee work

  • Assist senior team members in their day-to-day responsibilities

  • Strong written communication skills and verbal presentation skills to clearly convey requests and requirements

  • Experience implementing policies, procedures, and business controls

  • Ability to work independently to execute tasks, as well as to collaborate with teammates and other parts of the business to advance significant projects and initiatives

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial services

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Academic or work experience in ESG topics such as climate change and environment preferred

  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks such as TCFD preferred
