Who we are looking for:

Depositary has oversight responsibilities for the Investment Manager's activities in a number of key areas such.

The Depositary is also responsible for the safeguarding of the assets of the authorized fund. This separation of the management of the fund's assets from their ownership is the most fundamental element of investor protection provided by authorized funds.

The Depositary also has a responsibility for protecting the interests of incoming, outgoing and continuing investors in a fund. Whilst not having a direct responsibility for the Manager's activities, the Depositary must take reasonable care to ensure that the Manager is properly discharging its own responsibilities.

Why this role is important to us:

The Senior Depositary Analyst is responsible for analyzing and review the content and monitoring the quality on a wide spectrum of depositary control functions, namely cash-flow monitoring, safekeeping of assets and general oversight functions.

What you will be responsible for:

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Oversight Duties:

  • Prepare and review cash monitoring work on daily basis, flagging and investigating significant and inconsistent cash flows;
  • Safekeeping of assets - verifying ownership of assets, keeping up to date lists of assets and processing all acquisitions and disposals;
  • Performing oversight checks on valuation (NAV calculation), safekeeping of assets and investment and borrowing restrictions;
  • Prepare and review various reconciliations on monthly and/or quarterly basis (cash reconciliations, stock reconciliations) - compare and confirm data per client reports to data per bank/custody reports, research any discrepancies;
  • Identify items that require to be investigated further and require escalation;
  • Documentation analysis: understand, review and efficiently search for required information’s the legal documents linked to activity of the alternative investment fund (PPM, LPA, etc.);
  • Preparing onboarding of new funds in line with procedures;
  • Ensuring agreed timeliness for all cyclic inquiries, processes and ad-hoc tasks;
  • Establishing role as the reviewer: ensuring accurate and timely completion of the process and sending sign offs to the donor site;
  • Preparing Job Aids and supporting procedure implementations;
  • Using LEAN mindset to implement new solutions to the existing processes to decrease complexity, risk and time required for completion.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Specific Qualifications / Skills:

  • Numeracy / Literacy skills.
  • Good organizational skills in order to meet deadlines and keep well-documented records.
  • PC literate and competent in use of spreadsheets and word processing.
  • The ability to understand complex investment fund structures and to identify the risks inherent in those structures.
  • A thorough understanding of fund administration is required.
  • Experience in finance, custody or funds would be an advantage.
  • Excellent English.
  • Knowledge about UCITS V and AIFMD regulations

Previous level of experience:

  • 1+ years experience in finance, custody or funds fund administration would be recommended
