The State Street’s AlphaSM Data team is seeking an experienced and versatile Operations Leader with business and data analysis expertise to help us build and sustain our client’s data capabilities and competitive advantage using the Alpha services and product offerings. The successful candidate will have knowledge of tools and techniques used for efficient data management, outstanding technical, communication, collaboration and organizational skills that enable service delivery, process optimization, as well as effective team management. This role is part of broader Alpha Data Operations team and the candidate will have an opportunity to work directly with implementation, service management and IT teams across the globe.

What you will be responsible for

As Alpha Data Operations Manager you will

  • Lead Data Operations team; make sure the data is delivered to clients on time, accurate and within scope.
  • Become process/platform SME; act as the point of contact for relevant clients to address questions, requests and
  • issues
  • Manage internal and client testing activities prior to “go live” date and immediate post-production transition
  • Constantly challenge status quo in order to improve operational efficiency
  • Work with the team on root cause analysis, research, testing and problem resolution
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc status reporting to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Define and document current and future state operating models as required
  • As part of the wider team, add an input on overall Alpha Data product enhancements and requirements

  • Industry knowledge, experience in Middle Office Operations, Transaction Management, Corporate Actions,
  • Derivatives, Performance & Analytics, etc. will be an advantage
  • Outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership, balance of technical/business knowledge
  • Cross-department cooperation experience
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
  • Comprehensive SQL knowledge

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in Data Management, Finance, Business or equivalent
  • 5 – 7 years of industry experience across Financial Services or similar
  • Clear understanding of investment data and aspects of investment process
  • Prior people’s management experience
  • Strong team ethics and team player
  • Excellent English language skills – C1/C2
  • Experience in process automation/redesign
