Your role
Are you a multitasker? Are you strong with numbers? Are you solid as a rock when juggling many tasks at once and can quickly shift from one situation or task to another? We're looking for someone like this to be our Category Analyst supporting Category Management to manage and drive the overall category strategy for the Outsourcing category (ITO/BPO), by proactively influencing areas such as value, performance, risk, compliance and cost. You will be responsible for:
• Supporting developing in depth knowledge of BPO 3rd party cost category
• Collaborative work with stakeholders to support the execution of procurement initiatives
• Supporting Commercial teams in creating sourcing strategies with a flawless grasp of cost structures and savings levers to run RFI/RFP’s
• Helping in tracking savings for all deals and category initiatives
• Supporting Supplier Management team in ad-hoc projects related to category and supplier management
• Supporting contract portfolio risk review in line with Third Party Risk Framework
• Ensuring on time accurate category analytics and reporting of category spend and financials, headcount and contracts
• Developing insights with respect to category to determine market trends, e.g. vendors, new technology, capability, etc
Your team
You will be working in the Category & Supplier Management – Outsourcing team, part of the Supply Chain organization within Group Corporate Services, created to support UBS with its third party vendor sourcing strategies as well as to manage the services provided by our external suppliers. The Supply Chain function is responsible for the following areas: Category & Supplier Management, Regional Procurement support, Market Data Services Governance, Commercial Support & Transformation (CST), and Risk & Controls.
Your expertise
You have:
• 5 years of experience working in financial services, including a minimum of 3 years relevant experience as supplier and category analyst (Outsourcing category preferred), or similar procurement role
• Ability to understand, interpret, visualize, draw conclusions and display complex data sets in an easy to understand way - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) is essential
• Understanding of contractual structures and commercial aspects of outsourcing
• Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by building relationships to deliver tangible results in complex environments, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• Experience in running projects / initiatives from inception to completion (project management experience is an advantage)
• Strong team player with outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, effectively prioritizing workload and able to work without close supervision
• Experience in developing business cases, contract negotiation, or preparing and evaluating rfps is a strong plus
• A bachelor’s degree or higher education is desired
• Experience with Logistics Platform (or similar) tool – would be an asset
