Tax Operations Specialist, hybrid, Senior Associate
Location: Gdańsk

Your new role

As a Tax Operations Specialist, Senior Associate you will engage in various projects, special analysis and initiatives relating to technical aspects of the business. You will provide technical support to Tax Team Supervisor and Colleagues to ensure all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards.

You will be building technical knowledge in the team related to taxation services delivered.


This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

As a Tax Operations Specialist you will:

  • Take a leading role in the review of corporate documentation of processes, procedures and controls across client groups. Evaluate their continuing effectiveness and accuracy. Initiates remedial action as necessary. Ensure documentation exists for any client-specific procedures.

  • Participate as technical SME in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products relating to the ongoing business transformation process. Provide regular progress reports and gives feedback during project meetings.

  • Act as central point of contact for technical issues encountered in the daily business. Track issue trends and escalates as needed.

  • Contribute to analysis and planning of tax operating model with the aim of standardizing processes and establishing best practices.

  • Provide technical and planning support for new business transitions to Poland. Ensure proper governance and controls are in place.

  • Review tax components and completes the reviewers’ checklist as needed.

  • Liaise with other internal clients and supporting departments for the purpose of obtaining key inputs to service delivery, resolving errors and discrepancies.

  • Assist Tax Team Supervisor in the organization of the Team and in ensuring that departmental procedures and controls are adhered to.

  • Identify issues and problems in service delivery and carries out necessary corrective action.

Previous experience and level of education:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in Financial Industry (preferably Taxation or Fund Accounting)

  • Master Degree in Finance, Taxation, Accountancy or Business related degree is an asset

Specific qualifications and skills

  • Very good command of English

  • PC literate and very good working knowledge of MS Excel

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Demonstrates flexibility

  • Perfect organizational skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ensures accuracy and quality
