UI/UX Designer

Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a full stack UI/UX professional accountable for working with agile product teams to create an exceptional experience for Amway’s customers and business owners.
What you’ll do:
In this role you will sit on the Amway Global Digital Product and Experience Design team (DXD) with a number of other amazing designers. You will support Agile Product Teams in delivering world class software experiences, ranging from Native iOS apps to responsive web experiences. The DXD team is made up of both high-level agency resources and internal UI/UX professionals located in Michigan, California, Singapore and around the globe. Together, you will create next-level experiences for our customers and Amway Business Owners (ABOs). Come join a team building the future of digital products and experiences at Amway.
What you’ll need:
- 3-5 years experience in UX/UI Design
- Full stack designer equally comfortable with UX (User Experience) Design and UI (User Interface) Design
- Skilled at providing UX Deliverables to Product Teams including: Wireframes, User Flows, Journey Maps
- Skilled Designer with production design experience creating Low Fidelity Mockups, High Fidelity Visual Designs, and Interactive Prototypes
- Expert level with at least one of the follow tools: Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma (Figma is our tool of choice.)
- Comfortable partnering with Product Teams to create a world class user experience
Skills to be successful in the role:
- Advocate for the user’s experience in digital experiences
- You enjoy collaborative problem solving with a technology team
- Deep understanding of customers and business owner needs and the ability to bring the voice of the customer/business owner to the table to inform product decisions
- Ability to empathize with customers and needs of personas within these broader groups
- Can draw connections between customer needs and design solutions
- Ability to collaborate and be flexible with your product team regarding design solutions, design requirements, and time frames
- You have a natural curiosity about human behavior and a data driven decision making mindset
- Comfortable creating prototypes for testing and illustration purposes
- Equally comfortable developing and communicating a point of view on experience and visual design
- Familiar with universal design patterns for responsive web and mobile applications
- Experience handing off designs to development and ensuring the UI quality of the final product
- Functional understanding of coding and ability to converse with engineering teams
- Ability to interpret and drive business needs and user data into actionable experience changes
- Ability create wireframes, design layouts, design components
- Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
- Analyzing experience performance and determining design optimizations
