Your role

Broil is a massive and complex system, running on tens of thousands of processor cores in production. It is UBS’ non-linear interest rates risk system, which computes the risk and valuations that traders use to manage their interest rate derivative positions.

As a DevOps engineer, you will:

• Work with us and our vendor to define the appropriate approach and technology stack
• Create a new cloud infrastructure for the risk system (Azure)
• Introduce modern DevOps development & release pipeline
• Modernise the platform and provide improved performance, resiliency, and change capability.
• work closely with cloud architecture experts at UBS and have access to Azure specialists at Microsoft
• Help define and shape the vision of this new newly formed team

Your team

The risk stream delivers world-class market risk and PnL calculation services empowering our Market Risk, Finance, and Trading teams. We work with Risk Managers, Quants, Financial Controllers, and Front Office staff to ensure we have the full quantitative capabilities required for UBS to trade derivatives profitably and safely.

You’ll be part of a newly formed DevOps team that’s at the very beginning of a mission to modernise and breathe new life into one of UBS’ key risk systems..

Your expertise

• Good knowledge of build automation process (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitLab)
• Good knowledge of operating large scale applications on Windows.
• Experience with release governance automation (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence)
• Good understanding development tools (e.g. Sonar, GitHub, Nexus, Fortify)
