This is a technical position in State Street’s Centralized Modelling and Analytics. Candidates need to have excellent coding skills with a solid experience in R, Python and/or other programming languages. An experience in code development at production level and a working knowledge of finance/statistics would be an asset. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating or enhancing the production code for various complex financial models. Additionally, the role will involve supporting the US team in building and improving reporting capabilities.

What you will be responsible for
As Quantitative Analyst working for Governance Framework & Operations team within CMA you will be responsible for

Creating and enhancing the production code for various complex models

Cooperation with the quantitative teams during code design and testing of the implementation.

Preparation of technical documentation and the implementation plan.

Optimizing the implementation efforts, building test cases and assessing the code quality in order to recognize bottlenecks.

Supporting the US team in building and improving reporting capabilities.

Presentation of the results during workshops with business counterparties and senior management. Application of suggested improvements.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

MS in Computer Science or in equivalent field (MS degrees in other disciplines might be considered, conditional on work experience)

Excellent coding skills with experience in R, Python, and SQL

Knowledge of Matlab and SAS desirable, but not required

3+ years of programming experience

High proficiency in the use of standard MS Office software: Excel, Word, Power Point

Knowledge of Solid methodology, design patterns and principles of clean code

Previous experience in code development at production level would be an asset

Knowledge of quantitative finance and statistics would be an asset
