We’re looking for a Business Manager to:
• serve as primary aide to the respective business and coordinate the supporting streams, (i.e., manage the interfaces to HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Controlling)
• provide business-related services and support to a stream
• support the stream leadership in the hiring process,
• perform financial tracking towards financial targets and report to the respective stream members
• support the stream leadership in developing, coordinating, and evaluating a business strategy and business plan for their area of responsibility
• manage vendors (e.g., via selecting appropriate vendors, negotiating contracts, controlling costs, reducing vendor related risks, and ensuring service delivery)
You’ll be working in the CDIO Group Functions Centre of Excellence (CoE) team for Finance in Poland or India. We provide a variety of services to ensure that the Finance stream performs effectively whilst keeping alignment with our strategic priorities. You'll be working closely with Finance Business Managers and their management team.
The role of the Finance function in UBS is to help make the right decisions, execute on these decisions and tell the stories of these decisions. Our technology provides the backbone for accurate and timely financial controls and reporting across all legal entities in the UBS Group. We work closely together with our product sponsors, crew product leads and colleagues to respond quickly to the needs of our Finance team, clients, regulators, and shareholders.
• ideally 5+ years of experience working as a business manager or in a role which required the above expertise
• very organised and not fazed by being asked to juggle many tasks simultaneously
• excellent communicator with persuasive presentation skills
• quick to learn new things be it a new IT tool or different process
• always looking to remove barriers and make the way we work more efficient
• natural risk manager with a strategic mind-set
• all-rounder with strong analytical skills and willing to get involved in coordinating activities that extend beyond your own area of expertise
• proactive and passionate about what you do (and really excellent at it)
• Demonstrate and good understanding and experience for key deliverables:
• Financial management and control (forecasting, billing analysis)
• Workforce management (forecasting, planning and control analysis)
