Your new team

Investment Management Services (IMS) Transaction Management team services all aspects of trade confirmation and settlement instruction creation process across Asset Managers portfolios worldwide. Products include equities, fixed income, cash, foreign exchange, unitized funds and securitized derivatives of the same. IMS Transaction Management team is centric for Asset managers, traders, brokers and other counterparty’s relationships.

Who are we looking for?

An individual with solid industry experience (Middle Office, Trade Settlement, Transaction Processing), project management and analytical skills who will be supporting strategic, operational or onboarding-centered projects across the department.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and Kraków office to match your needs and role requirements.

Your new role

As a Business Analyst - Transaction Management Strategic Projects, Officer you will:

  • Document, analyse, review and support STP and Internal Business Operations projects, covering feasibility studies, Return On Investment (ROI) business cases, project plans and delivery of operational readiness from internal agreed directives supporting business operations and delivering to the business owners
  • Provide support to the Transaction Management (TM) Business Operations teams in relation to project changes to processes and improvements
  • Support internal business operation projects and co-ordinate with other global locations as well as locally
  • Participate in strategic projects, and initiatives as representative of the wider business operations teams
  • Monitor, track and document the conversion projects and progress with core documents and regular update.
  • Support global, both external and internal onboarding process by achieving operational readiness, reducing post-migration straight through process fallouts, supporting resources estimation
  • Lead and facilitate projects and clients calls with various external and internal parties to gather requirements and duly deploy processes/changes
  • Review and improve current working practices as part of projects creation and changes to the business gaining efficiencies
  • Maintain task listing and project updates into project plans, keeping lead Project Manager, or Business Owner aware of all data regarding external entities, internal entities and project preparation and implementation
  • Track projects and post implementation benefits to ensure data is available to management for Return On Investment
  • Keep abreast of market changes and developments, and internal system developments ensuring that all new processes align to best capability and practices
  • Embed the culture of automation and improvement thinking once providing support and introducing workflows and processes
  • Assist BAU with procedure changes and reviews and client specific processes improvements
  • Support the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture within the business



What we value

Skills, expertise and qualifications needed to perform the job:

  • A minimum of 5 years Investments experience, 2 of which should have been involved in project work with a detailed understanding of the procedural, technical and product requirements
  • Fluent English – strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Academic background, preferred degree in economics, finance, science or engineering
  • Strong understanding of Transaction Management within Business Operations
  • Detailed knowledge of Investment Instruments across asset types i.e. Equities, Bonds, Exchange Traded Derivatives and Foreign Exchange
  • Knowledge of current market ISITC code of practice
  • Applying the understanding of global markets tendencies and enforced regulations i.e. T2S, MIFIID 2 together with existing settlement methodologies across various products into assigned tasks and projects
  • Previous testing ability, extensive knowledge of ETC/STP would be an advantage
  • PC skills, including MS Office applications Word, Excel, Project and Visio
  • Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working in a critical deadline driven environment
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with multiple parties - Clients, Business Experts, IT and Project Teams
  • Client service and solutions driven mind-set
  • Flexible/extended working hours may be required around a project go live
