Your responsibilities
Supply chains are at the core of Shell’s competitiveness and play an instrumental role in achieving our “Powering Progress” ambition. We all have a role to play in enabling Shell’s Powering Progress strategy. By forging deep relationships with our business partners, we operate safe, competitive, sustainable and digitally connected supply chains. CP Lead Finished Lubes EMEA role has been revamped to deliver competitive performance at full potential in line with Lubricants Supply Chain ambition for 2025 and beyond.
As part of the Lubes Supply Chain extended leadership team you will work closely with supply chain business professionals to co-create the future strategy of the finished lubes footprint in EMEA region, including new and innovative solutions to help digitize the core of our business operations. You will also be supporting EMEA finished lubes community while implementing strategic partnerships with Third Party providers such as PANOLIN (LC), TNB, Axel and many others while proactively supporting global category management team across finished lubes and marine business.
Supporting a network of 42 contracts across EMEA region. Although you will not be directly responsible for negotiating all of them, it is expected that you will take co-lead in developing a strategy incorporating support from various CP functions including COGS, Marine, CP Ops, LSC EMEA to help provide the correct level of CP coverage, and category management, appropriate for each contract segment. Deep category management skills underpinned with CO2 target reduction passion in line with Powering Progress Strategy is welcome.
This role sits within the CP DS Lubes EMEA team and reports into CP Manager Lubes EMEA with a dotted line to CP Manager Global COGS to assure e2e finished lubes category alignment.
EMEA portfolio includes 4 Strategic contracts, 10 Tactical contracts.
Our requirements
- Commercial experience, ideally in Procurement or other commercial roles.
- Experience in or sound knowledge of finished lubes category or equivalent is desirable.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a team player.
- Fluent in English and ideally some skills in other languages.
- Good engagement, influencing and communication skills.
- Experience and track record in front-line negotiations must have.
- A sound understanding of the Group CMCP (Category Management and Contracting Process) and commercial contract management technique desirable.
- Proven university track record of execution excellence and delivering results, ideally in the supply chain, marketing studies / field.
- Learner mindset and can-do attitude!
Main responsibilities will include:
- High level of external focus and an appetite to make deals and implement resulting contracts jointly with other Shell stakeholders and Suppliers.
- Co-create under the guide of finished lubes / LSC EMEA team a best-in-class finished lubes strategy for EMEA.
The successful candidate will need to have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to work at various levels within the organization and across businesses within Downstream / Lubes and S&D and the various parts of the CP organization.
