We are recruiting a Senior Plant Accounting Specialist to join our global Record to Report (RTR) team within Global Business Services (GBS) in Krakow.

The prime purpose of this position is to assist with the management of the Plant and Cost of Sales / Cost of Manufacturing accounting across the EMEA business. The role is a focal point for providing advice, SAP technical support and counsel on complex accounting issues and requires in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain Accounting processes with demonstrated experience in product costing and production planning processes in SAP. The role reports directly to General Accounting Manager but will occasionally be required to take work direction from the Controller’s office in support of other EMEA accounting matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Plant Finance teams to ensure efficient Plant Accounting close process
  • Provide expertise on the transactional aspects of SAP cost accounting, to assist in resolution of queries
  • Manage the transactional oversight of product costing processes, including month-end close across the EMEA manufacturing facilities
  • Review Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure appropriate quality and understanding of key variances
  • Provide understanding of current cost calculations and inventory valuations for decision support to Plant finance and business analysis teams
  • Support internal and external audits as required
  • Provide process guidance and oversight for standard cost and forecast processes

  • You have an extensive experience in Accounting and/or Financial Reporting in Supply Chain Management environment
  • You have a university degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • You have in-depth knowledge of end-to-end business processes for Plant/Manufacturing accounting
  • You have a strong technical mindset, with knowledge of standard costing principles
  • You communicate fluently (speak, read, write) in English
  • You have advanced SAP FI and/or CO/PA knowledge
  • You are able to lead and manage change, interact and influence decision-makers, build relationships and network across a range of internal and external teams
  • You are willing and confident to lead discussions with senior leaders when required
