Purpose of the role:

• As Technology Manager- Market innovation & Applications, the candidate will be responsible for strategizing the technology landscape and implementation of the market applications, bringing innovation as per the business (& regulatory) requirements for web and app-based solutions. The current application stack includes applications in customer engagement and care solutions, product discovery & merchandising (website/app content management, pricing app, search engine optimizations) and market applications and innovations (Experience app, health & wellbeing app etc), these are expected to evolve as per the market needs. The candidate will be key to long-term strategic direction for customer growth and supporting ongoing agile delivery by a diverse, distributed engineering organization. You will manage a team of seasoned business analysts, software developers and application architects to build on a tradition of high-quality experiences and capability. You will work closely with other engineering and technology teams, product management, and your business partners to lead and execute an ambitious portfolio of initiatives
• Although this role is not directly involved in developing web-based commerce solutions (web & app) for end customers, the work done in this role will enhance the overall customer’s experience

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage team, including but not limited to feedback process, helping team in overcoming challenges, guidance to the team etc. Responsible in leading team to build software (web & app) that is optimized, well organized and maintainable.
• Report status to Leadership and Business.
• Participate in budget discussions and allocations for the PoD.
• Controlling and approving vendor’s invoices.
• Invest time daily on all projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technical challenges and make escalations as necessary.
• Partner with the Enterprise team to establish and maintain standards for your domain in the market.
• Work with other engineering and product leaders to evolve our delivery processes and drive cross-team collaboration and cooperation.
• Work closely with multiple internal departments, Global teams, and third-party vendors, to prioritize issues as well as provide detailed status reports on assigned projects and ongoing support for assigned systems and applications.
• Continual improvement of all in-scope areas, including the development of automated tooling
• Performance management of all the platforms, strategize the infra scaling requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the recommendations from Information Security and Risk team.

What you’ll need:

• Graduate/ Master Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or related field required, or suitable combination of formal education and experience.
• 15+ years of engineering leadership responsibility: web and app development, search engine optimization, microservices architecture.
• Experience in executing large scale technology modernization projects.
• Experience developing and delivering using Agile methodologies.
• Microservices development experience using Java SpringBoot is a must.
• Knowledge of RDBMS like MySQL and NoSQL databases like Couchbase, MongoDB, DynamoDB etc.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications in AWS Cloud.
• Experience of ideally working on bids, proof of concept, MVP, and the early lifecycle.
• Experience working with Cloud Platforms with experience of at least one of Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Understanding of app design and development.
• Excellent knowledge of API integrations is a must.
• Experience of content management solutions, and search engine optimization is preferable.
• Experience in budget control, SoWs and PO process on Oracle EBS is preferable.
• Ideally experience in architecting eCommerce solutions such as ecommerce platform such as Headless Commerce, API as product strategy & Omnichannel behaviour for high performing applications.
• knowledge of the ecommerce systems lifecycle such as catalogue, promotions, and coupon etc
• Good understanding of modern DevSecOps and Testing methodologies such as CI/CD, BDD, TDD etc.
• Good understanding of Security and Information Assurance, such as GDPR, OWASP Top 10, Least Privilege etc.
• Experience in project execution, project management and process improvement.
• Leadership skills to identify opportunities, bring teams together, and help implement solutions.
• Candidate must be able to think of innovative solutions.
• Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties.
• Experience interacting confidently with senior management, as subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.
