About the role:
- As a Demand Planner, you play a key role in the background of the Demand Planner universe.
- You have a clear understanding of the overall monthly demand planning cycle and manage the execution with a strong eye for detail.
- You assist the regional/cluster demand planners who are in direct contact with the customer with preparing accurate forecast enrichment and help with analysis and presentations in the background.
- You execute the forecast enrichment based on regular customer updates, you will perform comparison analysis to guide the cluster or GCA demand planner on where the variance exists versus the previous forecast version.
- You ensure we have a rolling 18-month demand plan for the agreed customer/business/product category combination.
- You will work closely with the GBS Demand Planning Analyst who will be in charge of maintaining the statistical forecast process. As a GBS demand planner, you will be responsible for over-arch the aggregated demand plan to be in line with the expected CAGR growth (driven by the Cluster or GCA demand planner input)
- You support the Cluster or GCA demand planner through the monthly consensus process to secure stability. This support will be guided with clear instructions given by the Cluster or GCA Demand planner. Progress will be measured via a weekly Demand Operational review.
- On an ad-hoc basis; you will perform a portfolio assessment and provide advice to the Cluster or GCA demand planner on how we need to improve our portfolio management. This analysis will serve as input for the PLM process improvement and unlock smart growth for the company’s performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Weekly: refresh forecast updates, compare to the previous week, analyze and conclude key changes.
- Weekly: support team with shaping demand (when we need to shift productions to secure service).
- Weekly: prepare progress to feed the weekly demand operational reviews.
- Monthly: support demand planner to refresh data and presentations.
- Yearly: PLM portfolio assessment.
- Yearly: support the budget process.
- Ad-hoc: maintain master data for new product innovations, re-align forecast from one SKU to another.
About you:
- Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, economics, or finance.
- 2-3 yrs’ experience in Supply Chain or data management.
- Experience in demand planning is required.
- System & digital savviness (MS Excel - advanced, Powerquery, PowerBI).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, APO, BW reporting) is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Positive and agile mindset, looking for continuous improvement and embracing change.
- Strong attention to detail, curious to understand how things work in the background, prevent errors from happening again (problem-solving)
- Strong analytics, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Able to work in virtual teams and cross-functional teams.
