

Data Services is charged with leading Citi’s efforts to provide accurate information of the highest quality to our customers, shareholders and regulators, grounded in developing and instituting the most efficient processes to do so. Data Services processes are comprised of: Data governance which includes the governance and enforcement of content and standards, the prioritization of data quality remediation (including Issue Management Resolution (IMR) actions) and securing funding for data quality efforts; data operations (acquisition, anchoring, correcting and supply of data) surrounding various data repositories; and data quality which brings together metrics, tracing, control and other activities, whether performed in the function or in Operations, against Finance/Risk data sources, intermediate and final output processes, and cross-report checks.
The Data Services Cross Product team is a newly formed team to be focused on high-priority enterprise wide data quality projects supporting critical business and regulatory deliverables. The candidate will work with multiple groups across the organization, including Financial Control, Product Control, Regulatory, Front Office, Technology, Treasury, Back-office Operations and other stakeholders to deliver projects that allow the firm to report P&L and balance sheet consistently across the globe, actively manage risks, improve financial controls, automate regulatory and management reporting, and perform transactional processing and ledger posting. In addition, these projects impact other significant firm business and architecture initiatives including revamp of the settlement and clearing platforms, roll out of global product processor solutions for Secured Financing, referential data system realignment for security, pricing and account information and a global standard General Ledger, among others.
The candidate will participate in highly visible program initiatives and provide subject matter insight. Knowledge of financial products, operational processes, GCB & ICG a plus. The candidate should possess process re-engineering experience. They will be responsible for providing input on the solutions for data quality remediation, business analysis, cost and benefit analysis, testing, and rollout/training functions. Ability to work independently across a wide range of stakeholders in Technology, Operations, Chief Data Office, Internal Audit, Finance & Risk. The candidate should be intellectually curious, highly motivated self-starter and problem solver and have sharp focus with the ability to shift in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Chief Data Office program analyst for Cross Product Data Services
- Prepare or participate in development of project plans/implementation plans, weekly project status meetings with agendas and other artifacts
- Work with project sponsors, stakeholders and technology to ensure scope, business requirements and functional specifications are completed
- Provide analytical support on projects / issues
- Ensure deliverables are compliant with Citi Data Standards, including conformity with the GENESIS Enterprise Data Warehouse “target record” requirements to support Citi regulatory and management reporting
- Manage their portion of the book of work for system enhancements in partnership with business and IT partners
- Produce relevant artifacts (process flow charts, user requirements, user guides, and release notes)
- Support remediation of data quality issues identified by consumers, DQ controls and internal/external examinations
- Partner with GENESIS regional acquisition teams to manage Target Record upgrades and ensure quality of data delivered in each release
Qualifications:
- Root Cause Analysis and Data Management Experience
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to identify and drive change by thinking "out of the box"
- Outstanding communication (written and oral), interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build a broad base of support among key decision makers
- System implementation experience
- Experience with end-to-end product lifecycle and touch points between business, operations and risk officers
- Must be able to develop an understanding of the relationships between business dimensions to financial reporting dimensions
- Familiar with Genesis and Citigroup a plus
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting Practices, Risk Measurement and Analysis a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to come up to speed quickly - quick learner
- BS/BA required
- PMI/PMP certification a plus
