The Remedial Management Officer is a developing professional role. Individual supports remedial managers in developing and implementing workout (recovery) strategies that are intended to either minimize the risks or maximize returns on commercial transactions originated by CCB office for the purpose of restructuring, stabilizing, or exiting the directly managed accounts. The remedial officer directly supports remedial managers in analytical space, including reserves calculations. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Daily cooperation with Polish court-related entities and external law firms is also contained within hereby book of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective cooperation with court-related entities (bailiffs, trustees etc.) regarding collection portfolio
- Dealing with internal and external counsel strategically and on a cost effective basis
- Supporting remedial managers’ analytics including but not limited to forecasting and reserve calculations
- Automating relevant remedial processes
- Preparing metrics and reporting criteria for loan performance including local regulatory, internal and external requirements such as FAS 114, TDR, GDRS
- Preparing valuation and restructuring analysis for stressed and distressed assets and situations, including the determination of write-off, reserve and risk of loss amounts that directly impact the P&L of the firm
- Working closely with other colleagues (Seniors and Senior Credit Officer-level transactors) to remain coordinated on the restructuring/valuation process and situations
- Evaluating and processing data, historical information and “KYC”
- Handling local regulatory asks as well as cooperating with relevant internal control functions
- Timely and pro-active cooperation with key partners within the organization incl. Business, Risk, Operations, Legal, Finance
Competencies:
- Sound understanding of credit risk management tools and techniques
- Solid knowledge of collection related processes in Poland
- Solid understanding of commercial banking products and systems
- Excellent analytical skills including relevant calculation tools is a must
- Capable of collecting information from various parties with potential opposing views/agendas in a respectful, efficient, and detail-oriented manner
- Strong ability to communicate and influence in a cross functional environment in settings that could involve conflicting priorities and timetables
- Self-starter
Qualifications:
- Very good command of English
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of commercial banking experience with an emphasis on credit analysis
- Knowledgeable in commercial risk process
- Experienced in commercial credit analysis and preferably remedial management
- Experienced in collection processes for commercial customers
- Ability to analyze historical data and projections
- Excellent implementation skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to synthesize the argument in a logical and rational manner
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
- Very good computer skills – MS Office incl. Excel, Access
