The AML Data Intelligence team provides best-in-class analysis and interpretation of data and enables its clients to make fact based decisions that impact all levels of the organization. For enterprise payments and new products space, the team will also provide input into better understanding customer behavior in this emerging space.

This is a Data Science analytics manager position that is a part of the Global Data Intelligence team. The Head will play a key role to provide insight and data analysis services focusing on the AML area which includes gathering the data, interpretation of data and presentation of findings to senior management for further decision to enhance AML monitoring efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all products as well as designing and implementing both the tactical and strategic analysis
• Serves as the subject matter expert for strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications, as well as make strategic recommendations and develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
• Evaluate and refine the methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy
• Innovate and generate new ideas, concepts and approaches to improve methods of obtaining and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data
• Facilitate communications between the Business, AML Operations and Compliance to help drive conclusions
• Document decisions in a consistent manner backed up by necessary data
• Work with business, technology and compliance to address any data concerns
• Lead cross functional analysis/deep dives of critical business issues as needed to further understanding of portfolio/customer behaviors
• Identify, analyze and interpret key trends and issues, create detailed reports and clear presentations outlining trends and behaviors and highlighting anomalies, as per Regulators guidelines
• Manage EMEA DI regional team
• Provide written explanations of approach and analysis in plain language that supports the conclusions and observations
• Interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
• Document solutions and present results using visualization techniques to display data and the results of analysis in a simple comprehensive way that can be understood by non-technical audience, as well as write more formal documentation using data science vocabulary
• Think outside the box and look for new methods to constantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the AML Detection, Monitoring and Operations systems and processes used in Citi
• Maintain industry leading knowledge of the tools, systems, and processes available to enhance the Citi AML analytics program
• Drive quality, reliability and usability of all work products
• Transfer learning and best practices across all regions

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant Data Science/Analytical experience
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience
• Extended knowledge and experience with Data Science tools and methods, statistics, data mining, data interpretation and visualization
• Oracle/Teradata DB experience is required
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS 4GL, R, Python is essential
• Advanced data science methods knowledge (segmentation, modelling, forecasting etc.) is required
• Proficient in PC MS desktop software
• Experience in banking sector or financial analysis experience is required
• Fluent English

• Master's/University degree in related fields
