JOB PURPOSE:

  • Joint Ventures (JV) are core of Shell Aviation network representing significant share of volume and profitability
  • Supports Global Joint Ventures Manager delivering resilient JV portfolio in APME and EUAF incl. growth projects and New Market Entries
  • Engages with Sales/Business Development/Operations/HSSE seeking input and alignment on a shared vision regarding JVs which is essential to the success of the JV portfolio strategy
  • Support strategy development, acquisition and disposal activities focusing on high grading the JV portfolio.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Global JV manager and Shell Shareholder Representatives & Directors defining and implementing resilient JV portfolio as well optimizing JV structures.
  • Owner of JV portfolio life cycle to review and action progress to enter, divest and restructure Shell ownership profile
  • Engages with a wider Aviation organization globally seeking input an alignment on a shared vision for the JVs which is essential to the success of the JV portfolio strategy
  • Supports strategy development, acquisition and divestment activities focusing on high grading the JV portfolio
  • Supports the Global JV Manager and Shell Shareholder Representatives & Directors in defining and implementing the actions aiming for max dividend, other revenues and cost efficiencies at Non-Operated Ventures (NOVs)
  • Leads independently distinct portfolio, improvement and assurance projects
  • Defines negotiation mandates assessment of alternatives and risk review
  • Where needed assists in JV assurance reviews covering strategy, risk, value management, financials and business continuity

Requirements:

  • Finance, economics or business development professional with strong project management and business skills, who has the drive coupled with commercial acumen to make a significant impact on the business
  • Min 10 years of proven experience in commercial deal making & negotiations or real estate network management & optimization, commercial contracts or business development positions
  • Strong people management skills and demonstrated leadership ability both remotely and virtually.
  • Mergers & Acquisition background (CFA certificate preferably),
  • Experience in investments, divestments,restructuring of firms, governance, financial management of assets/firms.
  • Proven negotiation and project management skills
  • Demonstration of sound understanding of finance frameworks and valuation methodologies, financial audits, deal valuations.
  • Experience as a Board Member will be a plus.
  • Ideally operational knowledge of business finance processes and joint ventures
  • Strong analytical skills, and the drive and ability to translate information into relevant actions, simplifying complex problems into clear scoped projects
  • Proven ability to create and manage effective alliances with key stakeholders
  • Strong business fluency in English (written & oral)
