Where you fit in

We currently have an opening for HSE Specialist (Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist) to join our HSE team in SBO Krakow.
The purpose of the HSE team is to promote HSE culture and ensure all HSE requirements are delivered.
These activities include HSE trainings, HSE awareness sessions and promotional materials, engagements with different teams, provisioning of HSE information, supporting the annual HSE plan and many other that help us to increase the safety culture and sare for our employe

Job Purpose

This position is required to promote HSE culture and ensure all HSE requirements, both local and Shell are delivered. Ensuring proper HSE awareness and trainings among SBO Krakow community is a key in this role.

What’s the role

This role supports the Brand team in Actively promoting HSE culture by implementing HSSE projects and organizing awareness actions.
It requires an understanding of practical implementation of HSSE requirements. Developing yearly analyses of HSE conditions for SBO Krakow and contributing to company’s development plans by recommending HSSE improvements in the existing or new work processes, including ergonomics design.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Actively participating in technical and resource planning of the company’s new projects, especially regarding modernizations and investments.

  • Participation in developing of HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) regulations, instructions, and job descriptions, especially for managerial positions.

  • Advising on safe and healthy work methods especially on the positions where harmful factors have been identified.

  • Participating in HSE hazard identification and risk analysis process. Maintaining and updating of the HSE risks analyses.

  • Participation in incident and occupational illnesses investigations and in developing of corrective action plans.

  • Ensuring proper awareness, trainings and preparedness of Fire Wardens and First Aiders.

  • Managing the area of HSE, where good persuasive skills are required to achieve compliance with the requirements.

  • Maintaining good cooperation with various stakeholders to ensure high engagement.

  • Close cooperation with Facilities and Asset Protection teams including: third party contractors onboarding and HSE culture development.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in HSSE

  • Polish health and safety regulations -university degree or postgraduate studies in HSSE

  • Skill in practical implementation of HSSE requirements

  • Trainings and presentations skills

  • HSSE risk management

  • Self-organized, responsible, taking ownership for all duties

  • Self-motivated with the drive to achieve and implement change

  • Willing to work in a team, enhancing teamwork values
