Who we are looking for
Global Funds Management provides a centralized oversight program for various SSGA products and services by implementing, managing and/or overseeing the administration, tax, treasury, fund governance and regulatory reporting requirements for SSGA funds.
The strategic objective of the role is to ensure appropriate tax withholding and refunds are executed upon in a timely manner, reporting and tax compliance requirements are undertaken where required, and is done so within the regulatory framework of the tax jurisdictions of operation and investment.

What you will be responsible for
Product level tax documentation and application:
-
Ensure appropriate documentation is in place with the custodian to avail preferential tax rates.

Create and supply updated documentation, as required to avail preferential tax rates.

Validate the application of the appropriate rates by the custodian.
Tax reclaim oversight:

Ensure accrued tax reclaims are considered collectible.

Work with the custodian to address out of tolerance items.

Write down reclaims that are deemed uncollectible in a timely manner.
Fund level tax compliance:

Assist with the execution of required tax filings for SSGA's North American unregistered product set.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

3 - 5 years of investment tax experience

Graduate and above preferably in Finance
