This role is related to operational activities in the space of German subsidies which supports and works closely with the CP EV Subsidies Advisor of the Mobility B2C Transformation team in Germany.
The purpose of this role is to
- Execute timely administrative subsidy activities and actively perform communication
- To precisely understand and translate German subsidies requirements into Shell`s context
- Support the CP EV Subsidies Advisor
- during the application process of new subsidies
- after the approval independently interact with the relevant authorities delivering necessary data
- during the entire period especially after implementation
- Organize, structure and store documents according to Shell`s retention policy
German market has a strong EV strategy growing it`s EV infrastructure to 5.200 charge points by 2025.
This role will become an expert in all current and planned EV subsidies administration activities and will gain an extreme good understanding and knowledge of EV subsidies in Germany. Ensure adherence of relevant timelines for required activities: Timely registration in the government`s reporting tools: Charge points, regular external reporting activities, request payments for funding as per defined subsidy requirements, coordinate internally/externally where necessary to ensure a successful submission of government required documents hence successful funding received. Additionally, storage and archiving of documents (according to Shell`s retention policy), preparation and updating of overview lists of approved tenders.
This is an exciting & demanding role in supporting to expand Shell’s ability to power mobility, strengthen Shell Mobility`s EV charging business and contribute to Shell Group’s net carbon footprint ambition within the Energy Transition.
Dimensions:
This role requires to support all administration/operational activities with regards to existing and future planned subsidies to extend the Shell B2C customer base and profit. The role will support to contribute to the B2C integration target to drive 100M+ Euros C5 synergies by 2030.
Key objectives:
- Support all administrative activities within the charge Post roll out and afterwards fulfilling government defined requirements (e.g. regular reporting, provide relevant documents to government authorities which enable Shell receiving funding, preparation, maintain and provide status updates)
- Understand existing and upcoming EV subsidy requirements of each program and support integration within our Shell processes or workarounds
- Operationalize subsidy management in terms of applying, processing, documenting, and storing relevant data
- You will extensively work with the CP EV Subsidies Advisor to ensure that all relevant subsidy-requirements are well understood and executed according to the defined subsidy timelines.
A successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills in German: Comfortable communicating with external and internal parties to successfully support delivering German EV-subsidy-strategy
- Demonstrated structured approach to work and hands on mentality: Feels comfortable with complex structures, bureaucratic procedures and formalities and handling large quantity of documents (as part of government schemes)

Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in German (in writing and verbally)
- Communication with internal and external parties (e.g.Network Planning, subsidiaries like Rheinland Kraftstoff and government authorities)
- Independent, result-oriented and structured work with complex structures
- Ability and willingness in reading, understanding and applying Legal guidelines re subsidy schemes
- Feels comfortable and keeps a structured overview by handling a large quantity of documents
- Highly numerate & comfortable with MS Excel
- Flexibility and be able to put complex numbers into a workable and understandable format
- Expertise/interest in grow/develop knowledge in subsidies
- Affinity for digital processes
- Support to implement ways of working on subsidies-processes requirements not fit for purpose yet
