The opportunity

Our ECG team, which is part of EY GDS’s Legal Managed Services, provides a technology enabled and innovative solution to support multinational clients manage the increasing regulatory and legislative demands they face in respect of their global governance, and fulfilling their statutory compliance and reporting requirements. The team specialises in coordinating the outsourced compliance work for some of EY’s largest clients in EMEIA and worldwide. The successful individual will be based in Warsaw as part of EY’s GDS Legal Managed Services division and will work closely with core central management teams in EMEA and will work closely with our core central management team in London which acts as a single point of contact between the client and the EY global network for all ECG services.

Your key responsibilities

• The successful applicant will work on key client accounts, where they will be involved in the coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements. They will act as the day-to-day support for the central engagement team, driving the annual compliance deliverables through to completion and facilitating the communication chain between the central team and the EY local offices. In addition, a key component of the role will be the updating and maintenance of the clients’ legal entity management databases as well as taking responsibility for driving the billing process. As a Senior Consultant you will also be expected to report upwards to management as well as oversee and support the Consultants in the team. A successful candidate would be responsible for:
• Coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements, including project set-up, transition, health checks, on-going delivery and event driven changes;
• Helping to drive the annual compliance process for key client accounts;
• Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders within the EY network;
• Leading day-to-day status meetings/calls;
• Communicating effectively with the core central management team and the local EY offices;
• Liaising, coordinating and providing regular reporting to central management team in London;
• Liaising with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR etc.);
• Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors;
• Ensuring client’s legal entity databases are updated accurately and efficiently;
• Identifying and implementing possible process improvements;
• Helping to drive strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency;
• Supporting in the development of junior members of the team;
• Assisting with proposals including pricing, proposal materials and technology demonstrations;
• Liaising with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR etc.); and
• Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.

To qualify for the role you must have

• 1-2 years of working experience on multi-jurisdictional projects
• Degree or equivalent educational qualification or higher
• Ability to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Excel

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience working in a professional services firm and client delivery
• Experience working on multi-jurisdictional projects
• Project management experience
• Good understanding of corporate governance
• Additional language skills
