Your role
Do you have the ability to analyze, assess, and discharge UBS’s global shareholding reporting and disclosure obligations for regions Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) by performing below list of core activities?
–analyze and calculate UBS’s holdings in listed stocks, perform daily position monitoring and disclosure preparation in accordance with substantial shareholding reporting requirements in respective jurisdictions
–review and maintain complex calculation rules across the jurisdictions in GSR’s central position keeping system
–place and monitor trading restrictions and provide trade approvals to business when questions of regulatory ownership limits arise
–provide legal/regulatory guidance to business functions
–promote and raise awareness of GSR related topics and the department in general through interactions across the UBS Group
–establish and maintain good relationships with regulators, exchanges, other areas within the bank, and colleagues based in other jurisdictions
Your team
You’ll be a member of the EMEA Group Shareholding Reporting team within Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG) function located in Zurich & Krakow. The unit is responsible for analyzing global equity holdings in issuers regulated in the EMEA region, monitoring holdings in sensitive industries and where appropriate, reporting holdings to the relevant regulators. This role includes providing compliance advisory support to trading desks, interpreting new regulations and implementing monitoring processes to ensure compliance, improving internal controls, assessing strengths and weaknesses in the GSR system and developing and updating processes.
Your expertise
You have:
–intensive attention to detail and the ability to analyze and process large amounts of data
–knowledge of financial markets, banking industry and products (prior banking, asset or fund management experience is an advantage)
–knowledge in software developments / VBA / Python might be an advantage
–extensive MS Excel skills
–fluency in English
