We’re looking for a Data Engineer to:
• engage with colleagues at all levels to translate business data requirements into technical data & software architecture requirements
• engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, distributing, and storing data in
different ways, using data platform infrastructure effectively
• collaborate with technologists to drive delivery within an Agile framework to analyze, build, test and deploy data sets through Finance applications
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital
principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and
remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• identify opportunities to improve our processes.
Your team
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You will be working in the Account Posting / Balance Sheet team in Wroclaw focusing on analyzing, designing and developing global accounting solutions for the company and maintaining our IT systems with our business counterparts.
Data Engineers play an integral role to understand data processing requirements, elicit data requirements from stakeholders, program and project scope, design, build, test and deploy data solutions that are used across the bank. They work in a cross-functional Agile POD team environment with product owners, engineers, and quality assurance managers, and engage fluidly with business partners, data owners, subject-matter experts, and members of other PODs to deliver managed change through Agile sprints.
Your expertise
• bachelor degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science/ Engineering or a related field
• previously held an IT analyst or data engineer role, for ideally 3 years within the financial sector
• insight in state of the art data analytics technology, cloud technology (Azure) and a profound knowledge of architectural approaches
• hands on experience in SQL writing, data / process modelling for robust and future-proof applications. Familiarity with TOAD, Alteryx, Python would be an asset.
• experience in working with complex data structures, basic understanding of accounting, trading and reference data systems
• experience in a SCRUM delivery model within the financial sector
• fluent in English and a strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
