About the job
You'll play a crucial role in setting up and performing reporting process around EPR environmental policy on packaging that makes producers responsible for the entire life cycle of the products including waste collection and recycling. You will report the packaging quantities placed on market to the respective organizations and ensure compliance with the EPR regulations. Operating in a complex environment, you'll work with a diverse stakeholders and range of technologies incl. SAP, platforms supporting real-time vision of business activity and ecosystem like 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) and more.
Specifically, you will:
- perform EPR calculations, cross-checks, controls, declarations, payments in a timely manner
- prepare, validate and submit all required quality reports, support schedules and any documentation/responses as may be required by the authorities
- be acting as the first point of contact for EPR reporting and IT application and providing mentorship to departments. Resolves day-to-day issues/escalation points
- ensure quality with operation of EPR reporting area and that all requirements are met and documentation is adequate
- secure consistency with VAT Reporting and Intrastat Reporting for selected countries
- collaboration with LCoA teams, Packaging Masterdata, Commercial Finance BPs, External Vendors, GSS, Global Tax
- hold EPR Super User role for IT application
- perform sample quality checks
- acts as project manager on standard projects within the specialist area
- assist in audits
- lead/assist in global projects
Who are you?
- Experienced in working with tax/fees from relevant company (4+ years)
- Experience in accounting concepts, tax regulations law and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to interface with all levels of management
- Good data analytics skills (including proficiency in Excel) and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability combined with ability to work independently with limited general supervision
- Have practical knowledge of accounting processes
- Hold University degree (preferably accounting or finance)
- Will be a strong asset if you have tax compliance background including preparation and review of tax returns
Furthermore, you:
- are fluent in English (spoken and written - also technical terms)
- acquired IT skills (SAP, Office, Applications), advanced command of Excel
- are able to work independently, be decisive and precise
- are keen on working in a global matrix organisation and customer oriented
- are a Team player
