In this position you will Interface with State Street global financial analyst and controller community to source financial data and assumptions or provide local financial insight as required.
Your new role
Reporting initially to the EMEA Lead Financial Officer the Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a key decision-support role in the finance department.
This function serves as a central control and coordination point for all aspects of regular reporting of State Street's financial results including revenue expense and operating income statistical and driver reporting MIS reporting and ongoing KPI reporting
Scope of responsibilities

Revenue & Expense analysis - to support and influence business decisions including revenue maximization and expense management and the distribution and presentation of internal management reports

Budget & Forecast analysis - review of revenue and expense levels liaising with operational leads to identify growth areas or plan for structural changes

Client Profitability Analysis - construction of monthly client profitability statements of clients for internal decision making purposes

New Business Pricing - provide support as necessary for pricing of local and/or cross border RFP’s. Maintenance of standard pricing model for consistency in cost assumptions and business drivers.

Monthly MIS Package - production of MIS package with business driven financial commentary with view to keeping management informed with regard to financial performance and business drivers.

Analysis of Global Cost Allocations - monthly review of global cost allocations to ensure they reflect economic reality. Liaise within the State Street global finance network with regard to allocation methodologies.

Qualifications and experience

Expectation of minimum 10+ years’ experience in financial analysis (non-industry specific) or equivalent depth of experience

University degree MBA or equivalent in Finance/Economics

Advantage to have professional qualification – in progress is acceptable (ACA is particularly sought after CFA ACCA etc).

Exposure to and experience of an International Organisation’s corporate and local business environment an advantage.

Senior Management level exposure in similar role with a global financial services company would be highly advantageous.
