The Associate Manager, Business Operations will be responsible for providing the overall day-to-day financial and administrative support for the Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) in Warsaw, Poland.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Accounting and record keeping systems for the stand-up of the SSC, including payroll, general ledger, Corporate reporting, expense reporting, headcount and overtime control, etc.
  • Statutory audit coordination (main point of contact)
  • Coordinate and review monthly financial statements in accordance with local guidelines.
  • Coordinate and review annual and quarterly budget of the SSC, and analyze monthly any fluctuation versus actual figures with FP&A.
  • Monitor SSC budget, as well annual preparation and quarterly updates.
  • Administer the Fixed Assets at the office as per local regulations
  • Serve as office procurement leader to assure appropriate vendors are engaged when required
  • Review accuracy and timely preparation of tax returns.
  • Ensure healthy cash flow thru an adequate expense management and intercompany billings to the different divisions supported from the SSC based on the headcount control and FTE budget rates.
  • Approve payments batch to the vendors.
  • Review key account reconciliations and SOXES looking for accuracy of the balances and adequate supporting documentation.
  • Supports meetings, teleconferences and webcasts, coordinates meeting logistics
  • Responds to general internal customer requests
  • Participates in team projects as required
  • Manage team (RTR and Business operations)
  • Other duties as required

Education & special trainings:

  • Degree in accounting or finance and knowledge of US GAAP and Polish GAAP
  • Fluent spoken and written Polish and English.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Relevant working experience and knowledge of SAP
  • Experience using Hyperion

Qualifications & experience:

  • 7 years of relevant working experience in a SSC environment in a matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a management position
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with various departments to resolve issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office technology
  • Demonstrated detail-orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, learn new concepts/processes and improve current processes
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deliverables, working in a demanding environment
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task
  • Very good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills
