Who has a chance of being hired?
Over the next year, Revolut plans to hire more than 300 people in Poland, bringing its headcount in the country to over 1,600, including the Warsaw teams and the operations and customer support center in Kraków.
Recruitment will cover roles in services, engineering, data analytics, operations, and sales. The company expects the greatest demand in sales, operations, and engineering teams. Employees hired in Poland will work on both local and global products and operations.
Revolut’s announcement illustrates the changing employment structure within the fintech sector. As the business scales up, there is a growing demand not only for app developers but also for specialists capable of serving millions of customers securely and in compliance with the law.
As a result, roles at the intersection of finance and technology are gaining importance:
- risk analysts,
- anti-money-laundering and customer verification (KYC) experts,
- specialists in cybersecurity, regulation, fraud detection, payments and reporting.
We asked Revolut which candidate competencies will be particularly valued in its recruitment processes. The company emphasizes that it is looking for people who can independently set goals, deliver on ambitious tasks, and take responsibility for the results. It highlights candidates' analytical skills and their ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience working in a fast-paced environment matters, as does a focus on solving problems and delivering concrete results. Proactivity, determination, fast learning, and a drive for high-quality work will all be assets. The specific tools and technologies required will depend on the role, but mindset and effectiveness are what matter most.

Revolut's current openings include FinCrime risk management, sanctions, compliance, and technical regulatory reporting. That's good news for professionals with banking experience looking to transition to a technology company. Knowledge of financial processes can be just as valuable as programming skills - especially when a candidate can combine it with data analysis, automation, or project work.
Graduates of STEM, technology, and economics degrees may also have a chance. Revolut runs internship and graduate programs in areas including data analysis, strategy and operations, and software engineering. This year alone, more than 100 interns started their professional journey at the company, joining teams across eight countries: France, India, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
New office, but the model remains "remote first"
Revolut's Warsaw headquarters will be located on the 32nd floor of Rondo 1 office building. The space, covering more than 900 square meters, is set to accommodate around 60 workstations along with areas designed for meetings and team collaboration. The scale of the office, significantly smaller than the number of announced hires, confirms that the company does not plan a mass return of employees to their desks. It will continue operating under a "remote first" model, with the Warsaw location serving primarily as a space for team collaboration.
Company representatives emphasize that productivity is one of its priorities, and that its flexible work model supports exactly that. According to Revolut, this shouldn't be seen only as an employee benefit, but also as an important factor in building competitive advantage. Revolut believes that enforcing a mandatory return to the office limits the talent pool to specific geographic locations, meaning the company would have to give up the chance to attract many outstanding candidates from around the world. While offices remain an important place for collaboration and building organizational culture, building a truly global and successful business means focusing on what employees do, not where they do it from.

Poland is Revolut's fourth-largest market in the world and its largest one in Central and Eastern Europe. More than 5.5 million people in Poland already use its services, with over a million customers joining in the past year.
"Poland holds a unique place on Revolut's map: it's simultaneously one of our fastest-growing markets and one of our most important global talent hubs. Our continued investment in the country directly drives that growth. By building strong local teams, we strengthen our relationships with customers and earn their trust - the foundation of our continued growth," says Wiktor Stopa, Head of Growth at Revolut.
Poland's fintech sector is maturing
According to a report by FinTech Poland, there are over 400 active fintech companies operating in the country, employing a combined total of over 22,000 specialists. The market now extends well beyond payments to include financial software, insurtech, RegTech, AI-driven solutions, and areas related to cybersecurity and digital identity.
In such an environment, a single announcement of more than 300 new positions is a significant move. Revolut will be competing for candidates with banks, other fintechs, and the technology centers of international companies. For job seekers, this could mean a wider range of opportunities, particularly in specializations that combine finance, technology, and regulation.
Candidates who do not limit themselves to a single field will have the greatest chance. A developer who understands the specifics of financial products, an analyst who can write code, or a compliance expert who works comfortably with data are profiles that are particularly well-suited to the direction in which the sector is evolving today.
