With 2023 just around the corner, many of us are looking ahead to next year’s events and upcoming public holidays. Check out our handy list below to see when you can expect a day off work in Poland!

Everyone who works in Poland under a contract of employment (umowa o pracę) is entitled to 20 or 26 days (depending on their work experience) of paid annual leave every year. However, with a bit of careful planning you can more than double your holiday allowance by taking a few days off around public holidays. Take a look at the table below and keep these dates in mind when preparing your holiday schedule. Note that you are also entitled to an additional day off if a holiday falls on a Saturday (e.g. Independence Day in 2023).

If you are curious to know more about Polish holidays and celebrations, visit our 'Customs' tab and learn all there is to know about Polish Christmas customs, Carnival traditions or must-do activities during Easter!
